- Description
Premium 250 mm heavy-duty clutch kit for Nissan Patrol Y60 and Y61 2.8 TD (RD28T / RD28Ti), combining a reinforced EXEDY pressure plate with a new EXEDY clutch disc professionally relined with high-performance friction material. Intended for off-road use, towing and modified engine applications.

Compatible with corresponding original single-mass (Y60) and dual-mass (Y61) flywheels, as well as certain Xtreme Outback single-mass flywheel conversions, subject to verification of mounting geometry and flywheel condition.

Installation
- Verify compatibility with the flywheel, clutch disc and release mechanism before installation
- The flywheel contact surface must be flat, uniform and free from wear steps
- For single-mass flywheels (SMF), professional inspection and resurfacing are recommended where necessary, while preserving correct installation geometry and dimensions
- For dual-mass flywheels (DMF), inspect the contact surface and internal mechanism; some workshops perform light resurfacing, but this may conflict with manufacturer instructions
- Apply the supplied lubricant only to the appropriate release mechanism contact points, avoiding contamination of friction surfaces
Important - RD28 flywheel: This kit uses a 250 mm clutch disc instead of the original 240 mm disc. A wear step left by the previous disc may prevent proper seating of the replacement disc. Check the entire flywheel contact surface, including the additional area covered by the larger disc.
Important - Y60 release bearing: The kit includes a Y61-type KOYO release bearing, also used in compatible Y60 configurations. The smaller original bearing found on certain Y60 versions may produce rattling at idle when the clutch pedal is released. The supplied bearing does not guarantee elimination of all drivetrain noise.
Important - Y60 bearing carrier: Certain Y60 versions have a different original bearing carrier. Installing the supplied bearing requires the separately available OE Nissan clutch release-bearing carrier and carrier retaining spring. Verify the existing configuration before ordering.
Important - DMF resurfacing: Any resurfacing of a dual-mass flywheel must be assessed individually by a specialist workshop. Certain manufacturers prohibit the procedure. If the customer elects to proceed, the work is undertaken at the customer's request and responsibility, following acknowledgment of the risks. Resurfacing does not guarantee safe or correct clutch operation.

Notes
- The EXEDY pressure plate and modified EXEDY clutch disc are not sold separately by Patrol Shop
- No certified numerical clamping-force or maximum torque-capacity rating is stated for this configuration
- The stated temperatures apply to the friction material and are not certified operating limits for the complete clutch assembly
